This essay tells you a little of my soccer life. I hope you will learn a little bit about me by reading it.
When I was six years old, I started playing soccer and practiced every day. In 2018, I decided to join the team because I really wanted to improve my soccer skills. After that, I started to work harder on my skills in a competitive environment and gradually I was able to become a starting player. In the summer of 2019, I got a serious injury for the first time and was not able to participate in games. About three months later, my injury healed and I returned to the soccer field. However, I was shocked because my skills had noticeably declined. So I worked out using my frustration as a springboard. Although I did my best, I could not stand out among teammates. Overall, it was a difficult time in junior high school. On the other hand, I learned the importance of perseverance, which certainly improved myself both mentally and physically.
In high school, I started considering how I could really improve myself and tried to focus on developing my strengths while overcoming weaknesses. Because of this, I became a starter again. Since I was able to focus on my daily growth, my soccer life was very fulfilling. I became a more passionate and hardworking player, so I was elected as captain by both the former captain and the coach. As a captain, I showed a professional attitude toward soccer, encouraging teammates to compete with each other, which in turn made our team stronger. As a result, we were able to win dozens of games. Furthermore, my efforts were recognized, I was promoted to the top team of Identy Mirai (semi-professional team) and I appeared in 5 games of the last season. Along with my joy, I keenly felt my own inadequacy, which strengthened my resolve to work even harder and fueled my enthusiasm for soccer at the next level.
Soccer is now an indispensable part of my life. I hope to continue to play such a wonderful sport.
